Dance 2012

You did a wonderful job 6th graders! Words cannot express the pride and joy I felt Friday evening as I watched all of you dance. It’s only a few more weeks and…that’s it, the end of 6th grade.

I want to encourage all of you to continue to make positive choices, to work hard, and to be responsible for yourselves in the remaining weeks. I have great faith in all of you…because I know you WILL do well and make me proud–like you have all year long.

To Room 702,

Good luck on your CST’s this week! I know you will do great! I believe in each and every one of you. I know you will make me proud!

Also, every student taking the test can get free breakfast starting at 8:15 am. Remember, your brains are like cars–they need fuel (FOOD) to keep it working properly! Take advantage of it and enjoy your week! I will be seeing y’all real soon!

Successmaker Night and Awards

This Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at 6pm, Hedenkamp will be holding an informational meeting in the MPR regarding Successmaker and its use at home and school. In addition, there will be awards given out for outstanding Successmaker achievement to the following students:

Baby J.R.

Hola! Thank you for all the greetings and congratulations I have received either through email, posts, or by word of mouth for our brand new baby! I am sorry that it took so long to post a reply or even pictures–let’s just say this–Baby J.R. is keeping me busy and awake all day and night. I am exhausted!

Anyways, here is the 411…

*His name is Joseph Raymond Gaspar–J.R. for short. We followed the tradition of J’s in my husband’s family.

*He was born on December 25, 2011…Christmas…6 weeks before his due date. J.R. was a bit underweight when he came out and is considered a premature baby, he had to stay in the hospital for a bit. Luckily, he is home and is gaining weight as we speak.

*His hobbies–eat, sleep, poo/pee, and cry REAL loudly! J.R. also likes to wake up in the middle of the night and keep his mommy and daddy awake. =) Even so, Mommy and Daddy adore him!

When J.R. gets a bit bigger, I will take him there to meet you all. Anyways, I miss all of you and hope you are doing well! Remember to do your best and I will see you soon!
